Intro
Black Nurses Killing It (BNKI) is a platform created to celebrate, support, and empower Black nurses and nursing students.
Through culturally relevant education and creative learning tools, BNKI helps nursing students understand complex concepts in a way that actually sticks.

Our Story
Meet the Creator
Black Nurses Killing It was created by Dr. Karyssa Coston, DNP, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC, a nurse practitioner, educator, and passionate advocate for nurses.
While teaching and working in healthcare, Dr. Coston noticed that many students struggled with traditional study methods that made nursing concepts feel overly complicated and difficult to remember.
That’s where the idea for Clinicals for the Culture™ was born.
What is Clinicals for the Culture™
Clinicals for the Culture™ transforms complex nursing concepts into memorable, culturally relevant scenarios that help students truly understand the material.
Instead of dry textbooks and confusing lectures, these study packs use storytelling, relatable situations, and creative visuals to make learning engaging and effective.
The Mission
BNKI’s mission is simple:
To make nursing education more relatable, more memorable, and more accessible for students who deserve to see themselves represented in the learning process. Whether you’re studying for exams, preparing for clinicals, or just trying to make sense of difficult topics, Clinicals for the Culture™ was created to help you succeed.
